ADAPTIVE SAILING
Lake Forest offers instruction to sailors with physical disabilities. 15 hours of instruction (six 2.5 hour lessons) are
available for $100. Our program is a satellite program of the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Foundation based out
of Burnham Harbor in Chicago. Adaptive Sailing uses a Freedom 20 Sailboat special designed to accommodate
any sailor. Lessons are scheduled by appointment by calling the sailing office at 847.810.3664. Want to learn more?
Come to the Lake Forest Adaptive Sailing Open House on June 3rd anytime from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Boat Pavilion.
SUNSET CRUISES
Sit back and relax as you cruise along the beautiful Lake Forest shoreline, watching the sunset. Pack a basket of your favorite

Private and group lessons are available for any skill of sailor in any boat the program has. Sailors in our youth programs can work with
any of our instructors in a private manner to focus on certain skills. Adults who have never sailed before can work with an instructor to
become proficient. Private lessons are good for those with a busy schedule as they are available by setting up an appointment. Call the

U.S. SAILING UPPER MIDWEST JUNIOR OLYMPIC REGATTA
JUNE 29 - JULY 1, 2018
Every other summer LFS hosts the Upper Midwest Junior Olympic Regatta which attracts competitors from all over the Midwest. Sailors
compete in the Optimist class, Laser Radial and Full Rig class, and the 420 class. Stop by the beach to see some fun competition!
LAKE FOREST SAILING NORTH SHORE CUP
JULY 20, 2018
North Shore Cup will have sailors in all youth classes competing on our home waters for the 17th year. The North Shore cup is Lake Forest
Sailing’s annual summer regatta. This one day event is part of the Midwest youth racing circuit and is open to Optimist Green Fleet, Optimist
Red/White/Blue, Lasers, and 420 dinghies. Come experience great racing out of Lake Forest Harbor and fun activities on shore!
