3D MOSAIC CREATION ( 18Y +): Take your mosaics to another dimension ! In this 10-week course , students will work on creating 3-D mosaics using beautiful materials . Students will begin by learning the fundamentals of creating 3-D substrates and carving their substrates to be used for their final mosaic . This course will culminate in the creation of a one of a kind 3-D mosaic atop your custom carved substrate .

OUTDOOR MOSAICS WORKSHOP ( 18Y +) In this two day workshop , students will learn about the appropriate materials and substrates for outdoor mosaics . Students will complete a beautiful project designed to withstand the roughest of Chicagoland weather . This workshop is great for artists of all skill levels .

SGRAFFITO TILE WORKSHOP ( 18Y +) Come learn the exciting pottery technique of sgraffito . Sgraffito is a method of decoration by cutting away parts of a surface layer to expose a different colored ground . The word sgraffito is Italian for “ scratched .” In pottery , the pattern is incised through a white or colored slip to reveal the clay body color beneath the slip . It is a wonderful technique because as you work , an image slowly immerges to the delight of the artist and the observer alike .
