BASKETBALL PLAYER EVALUATIONS (3RD - 8TH GRADE BOYS & GIRLS) Players will be put through stations and scrimmages and will be evaluated by LFRD & LBPD staff. Times and age break downs will be announced the week prior. Location: Dates: Times: Gymnasium, Deerpath Middle School November 10-11, 2018 TBA 3RD ANNUAL ALL-STAR WEEKEND (3RD - 8TH GRADE BOYS & GIRLS) The All Star Classic will celebrate the basketball season and will be an all-day event with opportunities for ALL players to be involved. The weekend will consist of an all-star game and a skills competition. Skills contestants and all-star game players will be chosen by their coaches and teams will be made by the LFRD & LBPD staff to ensure fun for all. An MVP will be chosen after each game by the officials and score keeper of that game. The skills competition will consist of a two-ball and free throw competition. Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place finishers. Gymnasium, Deerpath Middle School TBD YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMP (GRADES 1-6) This camp will offer the opportunity to improve individual skills needed to excel in the game of basketball. Boys and girls will learn ball handling skills, shooting, passing, and basic offensive and defensive techniques. This camp is also a great opportunity for participants to get their desired pre-season practice in before the Basketball House League gets in full swing for the upcoming season. Our program uses age appropriate equipment, skill-based activities, and modified rules to help children be successful and develop properly. All youth participants will receive a league uniform. KINDERGARTEN CO-ED: This co-ed basketball program has been designed to give boys and girls their first opportunity to play organized basketball A basket height of 8 feet and the use of a junior size basketball will be used. 1ST - 2ND GRADE BOYS/GIRLS: This program has been designed to give boys and girls their first opportunity to play organized basketball.
