BASKETBALL PLAYER EVALUATIONS (3RD - 8TH GRADE BOYS & GIRLS)
Players will be put through stations and scrimmages and will be evaluated by LFRD & LBPD staff. Times and age break downs will be
announced the week prior.

3RD ANNUAL ALL-STAR WEEKEND (3RD - 8TH GRADE BOYS & GIRLS)
The All Star Classic will celebrate the basketball season and will be an all-day event with opportunities for ALL players to be involved. The
weekend will consist of an all-star game and a skills competition. Skills contestants and all-star game players will be chosen by their coaches and
teams will be made by the LFRD & LBPD staff to ensure fun for all. An MVP will be chosen after each game by the officials and score keeper of
that game. The skills competition will consist of a two-ball and free throw competition. Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place finishers.

YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMP (GRADES 1-6)
This camp will offer the opportunity to improve individual skills needed to excel in the game of basketball. Boys and girls will learn ball
handling skills, shooting, passing, and basic offensive and defensive techniques. This camp is also a great opportunity for participants to get
their desired pre-season practice in before the Basketball House League gets in full swing for the upcoming season.

BASKETBALL HOUSE LEAGUE (GRADES K-8)
This house league will offer your avid basketball player a great opportunity for developing their skill set in a fun and safe
environment. As the divisions progress, so does the level of competition. Emphasis will be placed on skill instruction and
development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

PRESCHOOL CO-ED (3-5Y): A great introduction to the game of basketball, where kids learn basketball skills like dribbling and
shooting, but the main focus is getting them acclimated to working in a team setting with others. Our program uses age appropriate
equipment, skill-based activities, and modified rules to help children be successful and develop properly. All youth participants will receive a league uniform.
KINDERGARTEN CO-ED: This co-ed basketball program has been designed to give boys and girls their first opportunity
to play organized basketball A basket height of 8 feet and the use of a junior size basketball will be used.
1ST - 2ND GRADE BOYS/GIRLS: This program has been designed to give boys and girls their first opportunity to play organized basketball. A basket height of
8.5 feet and a junior size basketball will be used.
3RD - 6TH GRADE BOYS/GIRLS: A basket height of 10 feet and the use of an Official 28.5 sized ball are adapted to these age groups. 5th through 8th grade
divisions will play in a Travel House League program including games against other park programs from Highland Park and Glencoe.
7TH - 8TH GRADE BOYS/GIRLS: A basket height of 10 feet and the use of an Official sized ball are adapted. 5th through 8th grade divisions will play in a Travel
House League program including games against other park programs from Highland Park and Glencoe.
