LACROSSE - ILLINOIS GIRLS LACROSSE ASSOCIATION (6-15Y)
Be a part of a community-based youth lacrosse league exclusively for girls! The goals of the program are to understand the rules of
lacrosse, active teamwork, sportsmanship, and t o foster personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching.
IGLA has adopted the US Lacrosse ‘Player First’ Athlete Development Model which means smaller fields and a smaller number of
players. Kids are more engaged, get more touches on the ball, and further develop their skills.

Registration for all leagues is a two-step process. Pay/register at www.lfrec.com and then register at www.iglax.org.
At www.iglax.com, click on 'Sign Up' or 'Sponsor' for Fall 2017 Pink Leagues or the 6U FUNDamentals Clinic.
Purple players will register and pay the league fee at www.lfrec.com but will receive their IGLA registration link directly
through IGLA. All registrations at www.iglax.org are due by 9/1/17; a late fee be assessed on any registrations received
at www.iglax.com after 9/1/17. Equipment: A stick, hard ball, goggles, and mouth guard are required.
LACROSSE - U6: Ready to start Lacrosse? Join IGLA this fall for a weekly one-hour clinic for the younger lacrosse player. These clinics
are exclusively for girls in Kindergarten through 1st grade that want to learn the FUNDamentals of lacrosse. The goal of this program
is to introduce and develop basic skills for our youngest players using fun games and coaching techniques. Kids in this program will
get 30 minutes of practice time and 30 minutes of scrimmage time each Sunday. Notes: Equipment - Sticks available and soft balls
provided. No goggles or mouth guard required.

LACROSSE - IGLA PINK
IGLA offers two levels of play during the fall: Pink and Purple. Both are recreational, community based lacrosse programs. Pink teams
practice once a week, Purple teams practice twice a week and may travel more for games. If considering Purple, players must first
attend an assessment where participants are assessed on stick skills and game play.
