ADULT SLOW PITCH SOFTBALL LEAGUE (18Y+) All leagues are double header leagues and teams are guaranteed 10 regular season games. All teams will qualify for the end of the season double elimination tournament. If there are an odd number of teams, there may be a ‘play-in’ game between bottom seeds which will give one team one playoff game. Cash prizes to be awarded for league champions and trophies for tournament champions. Location: Deerpath Park Ball Diamonds Notes: Game times will vary each night based on the number of teams signed up. Games will not start earlier than 6:00 pm, nightly. NSA approved bats allowed, game play is governed by ASA rules with the exception of the Lake Forest Recreation Department’s ‘local rules’. Cash prizes will be given to 1st and 2nd place finishers (3rd place if enough teams are registered). The mandatory manager’s meeting will be held at the Recreation Center on the morning of the tournament where we will discuss rules and regulations and pick seeds for the tournament. For safety reasons and to promote skill development and fairness, kids in the 1-2 grade division will use junior-sized safety balls and coaches will play the quarterback position. Kids in the 3-4 grade division will play quarterback and use official junior-sized footballs. If tackle football isn't your game but you still like playing football, then the 5-8 grade flag football program is perfect for you. This program will be 'pick-up' flag football games. Teams will be formed each week and games will last one hour.
