Irish Dance Academy Classes
DANCE SESSION DATES:
SEP 5 - MID MAY 2018
From beginner to advanced, students are instructed in a nurturing, caring environment. Our
choreography focuses on form and technique as well as stamina. Dancers who have been
dancing for at least one year will learn more difficult dances and can begin competing!
BEGINNER 2: This class is offered to students who have 1-3 years of experience. They will learn more difficult dances and have
the opportunity to start competing.
NOVICE 1: This class is offered to students with 3+ years of experience. They will focus more on hard shoe and competing.
NOVICE 2: This class is offered to students who have been competing in all Novice for over a year. They will learn more difficult
steps and strive to move up to the Open Level.
OPEN/PC: This class is offered to students who compete at the Open or PC level. Dancers who take this class are dedicated to
competing and moving to the next level. They will prepare to compete in solos at the Oireachtas!
TRADITIONAL SET: This class is mandatory for students competing in traditional set at the Oireachtas.
CEILI: This class is mandatory for students competing in Ceili at the Oireachtas.
SOLO: This class is mandatory for students competing in Solos at the Oireachtas.
