Hip Hop Academy Classes

Hip hop dance has quickly dominated pop culture. Classes in hip hop teach the techniques
needed to master movement styles such as popping, locking, breakdancing, freestyle, and
more. Intertwined into each class is also an improved knowledge of hip hop history, musicality,
body awareness, athleticism, and the family values of what is real hip hop culture.
C LEVEL CLASSES ARE CONTINUATIONS OF THEIR NUMBERED LEVEL COUNTERPARTS. SEE PG 42 FOR MORE INFO.
INTRO TO HIP HOP (6-7Y): Intro to Hip Hop is a beginning hip hop class for 6 & 7 year olds.
HIP HOP FOR BOYS: This class is designed for boys only. It will emphasize athleticism, rhythm, body awareness, and fun!
HIP HOP 1 (8Y+): Hip Hop 1 is a beginning hip hop class for ages 8 and up.
HIP HOP 3: Hip Hop 3 is an intermediate hip hop class. Teacher recommendation only.
HIP HOP 4: Hip Hop 4 is an intermediate/advanced hip hop class. Teacher recommendation only.
HIP HOP 5: Hip Hop 5 is an advanced hip hop class. Teacher recommendation only.
TEEN HIP HOP (13-18Y): Teen Hip Hop is a class for the dancer, ages 13-18, with three or more years of experience who is
looking to study hip hop technique in a more relaxed environment. Classes offered by the semester.
