Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. While the tricks may appear difficult, you’ll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. Additionally, you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are always taught each session! You and your partner will use LEGO Robotics kits to build a controller for your scratch game (think Wii). This amazing course uses the most innovative tools available to experiment with robots & sensors that communicate with the computer to control your games. CODE DAYS DATES TIME R/NR 11040108-01 W Sep 13 - Dec 6 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm $230/$276 CREATIVE CRAFTS (5-9Y) VIDEO GAME DESIGN WITH SPLODER AND SCRATCH 2.0: TWO great programs in one! First, you will develop computer based games in Sploder. You will be challenged to concentrate on game creativity and strategy as you develop your multi-level game project. You will work in pairs and present your projects and the end to friends and family. In the second part of the program, you will dive into the world of video game animation by using Scratch 2.0 to create characters that dance, sing, and interact with one another. Working in teams, you will add sound effects and music clips to create a dynamic video animation game by using software created just for kids. Creativity rules in this fun version of video game design! Our instructors will teach important life skills - business, medical, and safe habits - in this high quality course. Lake Forest Parks and Recreation sponsors this competency based, highly structured, interactive program. Students learn about a wide variety of topics through discussion, practice, and role-play.
