Laguna Niguel July - September 2017 Neighborhood News CITY OF LAGUNA NIGUEL • LAGUNA NIGUEL POLICE SERVICES COMMUNITY PUBLICATION National Night Out National Night Out has been celebrated annually across the country for over 30 years in a fight for a safer nation. Laguna Niguel successfully participated in the celebration for the last six, bringing families out to enjoy themselves in a night against crime. Laguna Niguel Police Services provides activities, displays and crime prevention information for the community, and are happy to announce our 7th annual celebration of National Night Out 2017. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Uniform Crime Reports, Laguna Niguel continues to be ranked in the top 5 safest cities in Orange County based on population since 2010. Laguna Niguel Police Services has continued the efforts to strengthen the partnership between members of the community and law enforcement through crime prevention. A strong police-community partnership is an essential need for a safer city. National Night Out allows for the opportunity to promote crime safety and unity within our community. Through your support and cooperation, we can open the communication and work together to make Laguna Niguel top the charts as the safest city in Orange County. This year’s National Night Out has been set for Tuesday, August 1, 2017. On that night as a National Night Out tradition, we ask that you show your support by leaving your outdoor lights on as part of a vigil to show our unity as a city. In addition, we invite you and your families to celebrate with us in this year’s National Night Out. The celebration will be from 5 to 8 pm on the field located at Laguna Niguel Elementary School, 27922 Niguel Heights Blvd. in Laguna Niguel. Our celebration will include Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies, displays from various investigative units within the Sheriff’s Department, such as CSI and bomb squad, a fire engine, food from our local restaurants, games, giveaways, face painting, inflatable slides and much more. We will also have plenty of information on crime prevention, emergency preparedness, fire prevention, drug and alcohol abuse prevention and more. ...we ask that you show your support by leaving your outdoor lights on as part of a vigil to show our unity as a city. 2017 Tuesday, Aug 1st, 5-8pm at Laguna Niguel Elementary School Field featuring: H CSI and bomb squad H fire engine H food from local restaurants H games & giveaways H face painting H inflatable slides and much more.
