Lac Ste. Anne Bulletin May 22, 2017

THE BULLETIN Vol 22 Issue 21 Monday, May 22, 2017 2013 Onoway & District Chamber of Commerce Business Of The Year Sangudo Art Club Winding Up For This Spring Season Over the last months, the club members enjoyed the teachings of various art instructors. In September, Laura Cox instructed an acrylic workshop painting a fall landscape. October’s guest art instructor, Gail Seemann presented a full day oil class on a nebula painting of space. The following month, Deanne Jackson taught an oil workshop painting an autumn landscape. During November, the members also had the opportunity to display their paintings that they had diligently worked on at the Sangudo Blitz, Her- itage Days at Rochfort Bridge, Cherhill Legion Spring Breakfast and Onoway Heritage Trail Show. Thank-you to the community for their support at our art shows, fundraisers and yearly Blitz raffle which en- able us to bring in more guest art instructors and help offset the operational cost of the club. At the Sangudo Blitz in November, our 1st prize painting was won by Cheryl Johnson, 2nd prize of $75 was won by Bill and Mary Mynduck, 3rd prize of $50 was won by Rick Hall, and 4th prize of $25 was won by Evelyn Beland. Congratulations to everyone! This past December, our members did Christmas art crafts with all the students from the Sangudo Commu- nity School.
