Business Of The Year A new Community Bulletin Board now adorns the Town of Onoway (located directly across the street from the Post Office). The Onoway Beautification Committee was approved for an FCSS grant and de- cided to use these funds to have a beautiful two-sided community bulletin board constructed and installed in a central location. This board is available for use by all residents, living in and out of Onoway, wanting to post fliers for upcoming events, sales, local infor- mation, etc. Do not use staples - thumb tacks will be provided. Just Stuff Hello once again. Jeanne sent me a text. She wrote "On Saturday, June 22nd the Alberta Beach and District 50+ Club are cooking up something special in celebration of the 2017 Pilgrimage and Canada's 150. We (50+ club) are serving Indigenous fry bread tacos, icecream, coffee, tea, chocolate milk and pop. This will be held at the AB and District 50+ Club Heritage Building at 5012-49th ave (which is behind the AB Hotel). The whole community is welcome to come and enjoy in the setting of the air con- ditioned newly painted 50+ building." I have to admit I didn't know what Indigenous or fry bread was. I looked up Indigenous. It means 'native to a particular region'. Fry bread is also known by the name bannock. I like the idea of having this event at the beginning of the Pilgrimage. To me, it's a way of honoring our Indigenous neighbors and friends. It's also a way to start to celebrate Canada's 150. Because I am asked regularly about this, I'm going to talk a little bit about my new shop. I'm hoping to be in my new shop by my BD, which is July 20th. We shall see. There's a few last minute things to get finished. Village Glass and Mirror are installing my mirrors. Actually I am hoping that everything will all be done by the time you read JUST STUFF!?
