4.1.2.2 Malaysian Employees: Other Cash Payment (Monthly)
Around 60% of employers paid cash allowance to their full-time Malaysian employees, followed
by OT payment (43% of employers) and commission (15%). For part-time employees, 15% and
11% of employers paid cash allowance and overtime payment to them respectively.
Of the total amount spent by all employers on other monthly cash payment to full-time
employees, most of the payment (85%) was spent on cash allowance and overtime. On the other
hand, close to 80% of other cash payment for part-time employees was for commission.
