In terms of establishment size, medium and large establishments represented one-third of all respondents across both the manufacturing sector as well as services and other sectors. There is a higher representation of medium and large establishments in this survey compared to the samples (less than 20%). Figure 3-3: Distribution of respondents vs samples (by establishment size) 3.2 Employees’ Profile A total of 59,653 full-time employees was observed in this analysis, comprising 92% Malaysians, 7% foreign workers and 1% expatriate / PR employees. Half of these full-time employees worked in clerical support and elementary occupations, while 26% in managerial, professional and associate professional categories. Compared to the total employed persons in Malaysia based on Labour Force Survey 2015, there is equal representation of employees in the skilled job categories.
