collection? I can't choose only one item; I have too
many favorite pieces. But, if I have to choose one
then I will say the Knitted cardigan in block colors.
Q: Do you remember the first piece of clothing you
ever designed? I think it was a knitted hat. I was
practicing skiing as a kid and I wanted to have cool
hat. So, I started to knit some patterns and after
few weeks I had knitted hats for all my ski team
members.
Q: What is your personal go-to look? I love to mix
and match colors, styles and prints. My go-to look
depends a lot on my mood.
Q: Do you have any children? What are their ages?
I have three children: Viktoría Þóra (13), Baldvin (10)
and Indíana Svala (3) with my husband Jón Haukur.
Q: Do you have any tips on managing your work
life and personal life? I am both very organized and
impulsive. I also listen to my heart!!
It is important for me to have a good start to the
day. I wake up at 7:00, take a good shower, make
a good healthy breakfast, listen to good music and
prepare all the kids for school. Then I go to work.
My days at work are never the same. I am always
working on two collections at same time; one is in
production and then a new collection in the design
process. After work, my kids come home from
school and we do homework, sports and prepare
dinner. The evenings are used for work again or
relaxing.
Q: Are there any upcoming projects that you can
share with us? I have many upcoming projects at
this time, but I can't tell you about them yet. ;)
