The Haussmann building,
ideally situated between
the golden triangle and
« Place de l’Étoile » proves
that simplicity and luxury can go together in harmony.
Owned by the family group Bessé Signature since
2012, the five-star hotel needed some renovation
works before it reopened its doors this year. Highly
discreet, the Hotel Vernet stands out with its impressive
interior design, both chic and refined, signed François
Champsaur. If the building’s foundations date back to
the 19th century, it is a resolutely modern world that is
hidden inside. The original marble floor fits perfectly
with the contemporary furniture, among which Eric
Schmitt’s suspension grabs our attention.
On the first floor, rooms are decorated in the French
chic style and measure 22m2 (upper bedrooms) and
42m2 (prestige bedrooms). The suites offer a
luminous space measuring 45m2 to 100m2 where
noble materials mingle, such as brass, mosaic and
Carrara marble.
Both warm and intimate, the Hotel Vernet’s bar is a
place for encounters in a convivial atmosphere. But,
certainly, it is the restaurant that impresses the
most, with its huge atrium signed Gustave Eiffel.
True collector’s house, the restaurant gathers
various works by contemporary artists around a
typically French gastronomy. I
