Hichem Driss was born in Tunis in 1968. He studies photography in Paris. He has worked in
the fashion, design, architecture and art photography worlds with a great number of renowned
photographers of diverse influences. Since then he works between Paris and Tunis. He creates
in 2002 the studio “Barguellil” in which he produces advertising orders and personal projects
(exhibitions and art books). He has worked on various heterogeneous events such as The
African photography encounters in Bamako in 1998, the series Grand Parcours, a portrait
exhibition of merchants along the national 1 in Tunisia in 2011. He takes part in South fiestas in
Marseille with a series of images of the veil. In 2000, he presents Clay letters together with the
