Musk and Amber Gallery is the beginning of a dream to elevate
the Tunisian culture and crafts to the international level.
A promising concept.

ntirely dedicated to contemporary art in all its forms, this new space located in the
Berges du Lac is the realization of a project led by Lamia Bousnina Ben Ayed. Travel
lover, she wishes to share in her native country her cultural discoveries and artistic
treasures gathered during her numerous trips.
On a 500 m2 surface, furniture, interior decorations, jewelry collections, ready-made clothing,
accessories, photographies, books and architecture magazines mingle and confront each
others to offer an astonishing perspective on international contemporary art.
The works of 70 foreign artists and Tunisian creators carefully selected, including Mohamed Messaoudi,
Mouna Jemal Siala, Moooï, Ecart Intarnational, Gaïa & Gino, Nathalie Trad, Aurélie Bidermann, Rabih Kairouz
– to name but a few – are displayed at the Musk and Amber Gallery. They all have been selected for their
artistic value and for their creations imbued with history.
Several cultural events will also be organized, such as conferences on the theme of design, discussions about
the latest innovations in contemporary art, dedications and artistic competitions. To complete this huge
project, Lamia Bousnina Ben Ayed has developed the association Musk and Amber Heritage that aims to
introduce art and contemporary design in the Tunisian crafts. To this effect, the association provides the
creation of many specialized trainings throughout Tunisia.
Lamia Bousnina Ben Ayed has successfully built a bridge between the East and the West, offering a new chance
to the Tunisian traditional handicraft to take its place in the international contemporary art market. I
