1925, quand l’Art Déco séduit le monde
Cité de l’Architecture & du Patrimoine, Paris
du 16 octobre 2013 au 17 février 2014
C’est à la Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine qu’a lieu la 1ère exposition d’Art Déco depuis 1975.
Des œuvres d’artistes du monde entier tels que l’architecte Henri Sauvage, le décorateur André Vera et le
sculpteur François Pompon, sont réunies à cette occasion pour offrir aux visiteurs un large aperçu de l’esthétique du courant Art Déco. L’exposition place l’année 1925 au cœur de cette rétrospective, date de l’Exposition
Internationale et de la diffusion mondiale de ce style qui a touché tous les arts. I 1925, when Art Deco
dazzled the world, from October 16th 2013 to February 17th 2014. The first Art Deco exhibit since 1975 will take
place at the City of Architecture and Heritage. Works by artists from all over the world such as the architect Henri
Sauvage, the designer André Vera and the sculptor François Pompon, are displayed to offer the visitors a broad
overview of the esthetic of the Art Deco period.This retrospective focuses on the year 1925, which is the year
of the International Exposition as well as the global spread of Art Deco. I
