summer in Sicily

Are you guys waiting for summer? To go on holiday and relax? First of all, you have to decide where to go, and this is a difficult choice: the sea or the mountains? Discover new places or just relax? Tourists from all over the world often choose Europe, due to its varied landscapes, diverse weather conditions and different cultures. Italy, in particular, is one of the most famous destinations for national and international tourists. The particular shape of the peninsula – the Stivale, the sea near the mountains, the temperate climate and good food arouse the curiosity of many people who decide to go there to enjoy their holidays. One of the most famous touristy destinations of Italy is Sicily, the southern island of the boot. People wonder why Sicily is so famous all over the world, and there are many reasons. First of all because of the weather: Sicily is known for its sunny days and hot climate and this is important so that people can enjoy beaches and go around discovering new cultural places. It is also known for its landscapes and architecture. It is important to remember that six UNESCO World Heritage Sites are found in Sicily. And last but not least the cuisine - typical food in Sicily is known everywhere: ice-cream and arancine (rice balls with different fillings) are delicious.

Sicily gives you the possibility to enjoy both the mountains and the beaches and allows you to relax and discover new places at the same time. One such place is Palermo, the capoluogo of Sicily. Palermo brings together the amazing beach of Mondello and the extraordinary landscape of Monte Pellegrino, in which the Santuario di Santa Rosalia – the Patron Saint of Palermo – is located. Tourists can relax on its beaches but also discover the awesome Arab-Norman monuments around the city, such as the Cathedral, the Palazzo dei Normanni, the classic Massimo Theatre and the neoclassic Politeama Theatre.
