Ciao a tutti, and welcome to the final il Dipartimento section of this year! Here we’ll be covering all aspects of the Italian Department at the University of Bristol from the perspective of students, be they current or past, home or Erasmus. This issue will be great for film-lovers as we've interviewed Dr Catherine O'Rawe about her research in Italian cinema, from her project on 1950s cinema audiences to the lovely Riccardo Scamarcio! Those of you who are interested in a career in translation and interpreting should also check out our interview with Bristol alumna Phoebe Murray, who has used her Bristol Italian degree to become a professional interpreter at the European Union.
