(n:gage): Having started your career as a Management Trainee,
with the changing motivational needs of the millennials, what
changes has the management trainee programs seen in the last 2
decades?
Archana: I think what I have shared above clearly exemplifies the huge
difference in the world of HR 27 years back to what we witness today. Yet
there are many things which seem to be relatively untouched. I think there is
a need to review the entire apprentice programme by industry and academia
together. It is not just about Management Trainees or Graduate Engineer
Trainee programmes but more about academia-industry partnership for a
much more beneficial outcome.
