Most of the time these are considered black holes in recruitment
terminology as candidates are completely clueless on the status of their
submission. From a recruiter’s point of view, there is a band width choke as
there are multiple transactions to be done and time becomes a constraint. It
is in this scenario that Technology can be used as a key enabler to get
multiple work done and improve productivity. A start was made a decade
back when Applicant Tracking System were introduced. But nowadays with
the complexity in hiring various specialized tools are now available to help
recruiters
• Natural Language based Contextual search tools
are coming up to search and match candidates to
jobs and jobs to candidates. These are Artificial
Intelligence tools which understand the Context of
a Job with respect to skills, experience and job title
and match it to a candidate skills and experience.
They have ability to search an entire database in
quick time, predict the percentage of fitment and
even give out a skill gap analysis with suggested
training modules.
• Chatbots are now being used to qualify and screen
candidates based on an interactive platform where
BOTs based on the Job ask the candidates some
basic screening and hygiene questions so that the
Resume can be qualified for a particular job.
Chatbots along with contextual search are also
useful for career site and employee referral sites as
they help in directing the candidates to submit
their resume to the right jobs. Scheduling and
collecting interview feedback is another function
which can be handled by BOTS.
