Center. Chef Marie was also the coordinator of the Tastes of Africa Festival. She is the chef
speaker for the “Let’s Move” Africa Program. The program (with an African twists) supports Mrs. Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move Program” which focuses on healthy eating and
solving the challenge to fight childhood obesity.
Involved in a number of charitable causes, Chef Marie is founder of the Louis Diente Faye
Foundation, where she empowers communities in Senegal and around the world to work
together to tackle the issues they face. The foundation’s work supports arts, health, nutrition, agriculture, water and sanitation, education and entrepreneurship. Chef Marie also volunteers as a culinary and nutrition instructor for “Cooking Matters”
Chef Marie Joe's overall success is due to her loyal viewership and clients. She aspires to
make herself more accessible by eventually releasing cook books and venturing into her
own line of products, while continuing to play key roles in African health, nutrition and culinary arts. Chef Marie currently resides in Washington DC and is available for bookings,
speaking engagements, appearances and personal chef consultations.
