Never Far Away from the Camera: Tina Taylor Winstina “Tina” Taylor is a multi-talented Sierra Leone raised and American trained film producer. Growing up, Tina was branded as a leader and go-getter. The ambitious Tina is a busy on the go woman who has her sights set on expanding her business, having launched a successful production company known as Prime International Productions. Through her company, Tina has proven that African movies can be done, and successfully so, in the USA. She is the producer and lead actor of the movies, Scarlet and Nurse from Hell. She was one of the supporting actors of the hit movie Agony of a Home Health Aide, where she played the role of Fatima. In the last two years, Tina oversaw the production of three successful movies in which she co-starred with such African greats in the likes of John Dumelo and Van Vicker. On the acting front, Tina has proven to be a heavyweight as she embraces the screen without intimidation from directors and co-stars. Tina has co-produced films now distributed across Africa through the DStv Channel in the United Kingdom. Never far away from the camera, Tina is working on her first Krio movie. Audiences can look forward to a family drama that entertains and educates about the pitfalls of forgetting our roots. She will be premiering her movie Nurses from Hell on September 13, 2013 in the Washington, DC area. Tina has managed to balance family, work and a successful film production company. She dedicates her spare time to helping her community through charity work that engages in feeding the poor in Sierra Leone. She is a member of Save Sierra Leone Foundation and USL Sister. Tina attended Seaton Elementary in Washington, DC, USA where she was part of the Sister to Sister Drama Club. At Shaw Junior High School, she received numerous presidential honors for her studies and was accepted into the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Tina continued her theatrical interests at the Duval High School in Maryland where she represented the multicultural drama club. From high school she went on to complete a nursing degree. 28
