London Artist and
Kushe’: Where did you grow up?
Matto: Sierra Leone/Freetown….growing up I
will say was normal. I came from a middle class
family. I loved to dress up and put on fake boobies. My worst memories are the injections from
the hospital. I’m still afraid of needles today.
Kushe’: Tell me about how you got into your
line of work.
Matto: I can still remember me beating on a

I would even refuse sometimes to do my house
work unless my mom (RIP) said to me AH GO

family (Jimmy Bee). That’s when I got my break
through and now I am doing it professionally.
Kushe’: What lessons has your work life taught

Matto: Focus, determination and perseverance.
Your image and your respect should be your key
priorities. OH…and always know how to handle
a situation in public.
Kushe’: If you could do anything now, what
would you do?
Matto: Open a missive recording studio in Sierra Leone. Because, even when I reti re I would
love to be part of that circle.
Kushe’: Where do you see yourself in the entertainment competition?
Matto: Sierra Leone RIRI. Sierra Leone Beyonce. I aim high. The sky is my limit.
Kushe’: Did you face any challenges before landing at this threshold in life?
Matto: Lots and lots, but as I said don’t let anybody or anything put you down. And, don’t
