DEVELOPING MUSICAL EXPERIENCES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN
Presented by Jingle Jam
The list of benefits to children participating in a music program is long. Apart from their
musical development, some highlights are the increase in a child’s listening, concentration
and memory skills as well as the skills associated with their social and emotional
development. There is no doubt that a music program is a wonderful opportunity for children
to grow, explore and develop an understanding of themselves and the world around them.
For the past twenty years, Jingle Jam has developed songs, dances, musical games and
activities that come from extensive research and practice. In this session we will look at
developing a young child through musical experiences and create musical sessions to support
this learning. This is a practical and informative session, which should leave you inspired to
create wonderful music and movement sessions for the children in your life!
