The approach uses an understanding of child development, and includes preventive, responsive and proactive approaches. Completing Guiding Children’s Behaviour will contribute 5 hours of NESA registered PD addressing 1.3.2, 3.5.2, 4.3.2 and 5.5.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW Wednesday 17 April OR Tuesday 16 July 9:30am – 3:30pm KU Training Room 129 York St Sydney $230 WHY MINDSET MATTERS – SEE THE MEANING IN CHILDREN’S BEHAVIOUR Rosa Carreno and Keran Elgie Children can present with a wide array of complex needs and behaviours which may be difficult to make sense of and can be stressful to manage. This workshop aims to help educators gain an understanding that all behaviour is meaningful. This provides a key that opens the door to new possibilities for behaviour support, as educators work to develop nurturing relationships that meet children’s needs and teach the social and emotional skills that support true inclusion and emotional wellbeing.
