Education for Sustainability AUSTRALIAN NATIVE BEES The Australian Native Bee Company During this workshop participants will learn about incorporating Australian native bees into their environment and their daily teaching practice. Wednesday 13 March We will also discuss the way in which elements of STEM can support this process. 4:00pm – 8:00pm Each participant will receive a free copy of the education resource booklet Australian Native Bees for Schools. KU Chatswood Community Preschool, 9 Victor St, Chatswood $290 WHERE NATURE WAITS BEYOND THE GATE: ADVENTURES IN NATURE PEDAGOGY Deb Watson and Fiona Harris This 2-day learning experience will provide an opportunity for participants to explore the theory and benefits of increasing children’s connections with nature. Day 1 Participants will work through a range of situations to design, plan and evaluate the management of regular routine excursions within their community. Day 2 Participants will share Indigenous ways of caring for country and apply the learning from Day 1 to a practical situation, in a natural space.
