WORKSHOP 1:
CREATING INVITATIONS FOR LEARNING WITH INFANTS AND
TODDLERS
During this workshop participants will examine links between the EYLF and the learning
and development of infants and toddlers. You will also discuss creating a place of
engagement for infants and consider the unique aspects of working with under twos.

WORKSHOP 2:
UNDERSTANDING SCHEMAS IN INFANT AND TODDLER PLAY Wednesday
14 August
This workshop explores a contemporary understanding of schemas, a repeatable pattern
of behaviour that children engage in to explore and express their developing ideas. The
session will be hands on with practical ideas to use in everyday work with children. 9:30am – 12:00pm
Completing ‘Understanding Schemas in Infant and Toddler Play’
will contribute 2 hours of NESA registered PD addressing 1.1.2 and
2.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards
maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW
