WORKSHOP 1:
BACK TO BASICS – WHAT IS AN OBSERVATION? Wednesday 5 June
This session goes back to basics and provides tips for writing meaningful and
interesting observations. KU Training Room

9:30am – 3:30pm
The presenter will explore the why and what of observation writing, language, style
and tools to support the process. It will also show the link between observations,
knowing children at a deeper level and contemporary theory.
Completing ‘Back to Basics – What is an Observation?’ will contribute 5 hours of
PD addressing 1.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
WORKSHOP 2:
THE CYCLE OF PLANNING AND THE MYTHS OF PROGRAM
PLANNING
This session will provide opportunities for participants to revisit their understanding
of the cycle of planning.
