Regional Locations EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS: CRITICAL REFLECTION AND THE ART OF QUESTIONS Jan Faulkner This day for experienced practitioners consists of the following two sessions: A TIME FOR THINKING: CRITICAL REFLECTION ON PRACTICE There is a strong emphasis on critical reflection in the National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework. During this workshop we will explore the way in which critical reflection drives decision making, strategies for engaging in processes of critical reflection and ways to integrate critical reflection into daily practice. Tuesday 9 July 9:00am – 4:00pm Wagga Wagga RSL Club, Dobbs St Wagga Wagga $220 Completing ‘A Time for Thinking: Critical Reflection on Practice’ will contribute 3 hours of NESA registered PD addressing 3.6.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW THE ART OF QUESTIONS: TRANSFORMING PRACTICE Questions can open the door for dialogue, discovery and new ways of thinking. During this workshop we will explore the art of asking questions for new understanding, exploring points of view and transforming practice. Completing ‘The Art of Questions – Transforming Practice’ will contribute 3 hours of NESA registered PD addressing 3.6.2 and 6.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW WHY MINDSET MATTERS – SEE THE MEANING IN CHILDREN’S BEHAVIOUR Dianne Enks Children can present with a wide array of complex needs and behaviours which may be difficult to make sense of and can be stressful to manage. Wednesday 2 October This workshop aims to help educators gain an understanding that all behaviour is meaningful.
