Regional Locations Lismore WHY MINDSET MATTERS – SEE THE MEANING IN CHILDREN’S BEHAVIOUR Kate Norman Children can present with a wide array of complex needs and behaviours which may be difficult to make sense of and can be stressful to manage. This workshop aims to help educators gain an understanding that all behaviour is meaningful. This provides a key that opens the door to new possibilities for behaviour support, as educators work to develop nurturing relationships that meet children’s needs and teach the social and emotional skills that support true inclusion and emotional wellbeing. Friday 10 May 9:30am – 3:30pm Lismore Workers Club, 225-231 Keen St Lismore $220 Completing ‘Why Mindset Matters: See the Meaning in Children’s Behaviour’ will contribute 5 hours of NESA registered PD addressing 4.1.2 and 4.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW YOUNG CHI LDREN ARE ENGINEERS: EXPLORING SCIENCE , TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) Laure Hislop This hands-on day will explore each of the content areas in STEM, looking at how we can facilitate deep learning for 3-5 year olds. The session will explore the pillars of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and then focus on STEM processes for learning. Come prepared for some hands-on fun as you become a play-based STEM expert!
