ONE OF THE KI DS: UNDERSTANDING AND SUPPORTING CH I LDREN
WITH ASD IN MAINSTREAM SETTINGS

This is an intensive workshop that is based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) for
understanding and supporting children with autism. This workshop will disseminate the
ESDM into early childhood settings, ensuring that every child is included and engaged
across a variety of early childhood services (preschool, long day care, playgroups, early
intervention etc.).
Completing ‘One of the Kids: Understanding and Supporting Children
with ASD in Mainstream Settings’ will contribute 5 hours of PD
addressing 2.1.2, 3.2.2, 4.1.2 and 4.3.2 from the Australian Professional
Standards for Teachers
