The Evolution Project placed a
strong focus on business without
disrupting our core educational
quality beliefs and practices.
2015 was a year of significance for
KU as we celebrated our 120 year
anniversary and reflected on our journey
from humble beginnings to today.
We see that throughout our long proud
history KU has steadfastly demonstrated
our commitment, passion, advocacy and
leadership in providing early education.
These attributes remain strong today,
however in an increasingly competitive and
changing landscape, it became a time to
reflect and review our business operations,
to focus the organisation on delivering
optimal services across the sector, and to
ensure we remained financially sustainable
for the years ahead.
The Evolution Project placed a strong focus
on business without disrupting our core
educational quality beliefs and practices.
This was successful in transforming
challenged centres into services aligned
to their communities, while maintaining
our primary commitments to social
sustainability, accessibility and quality of
experience for children.
In addition, in 2015 we received our first
‘Excellent’ rating under the NQS.
The Board wish to thank all of our staff
and the Executive Leadership Team for
their dedication and absolute passion to
continue building on the KU Difference.
