Making the KU Difference By representing KU Cathy Bradley Manager, National Inclusion Support Subsidy Provider Program Over the past 6 years, Cathy has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to facilitating the inclusion of children with additional needs around Australia, through her leadership in the implementation of the National Inclusion Support Subsidy Provider (NISSP) program, despite a number of barriers that were extremely challenging for KU to implement. Cathy has consistently looked for ways to support and find solutions to ensure services across Australia were not disadvantaged through government administration systems. In order to build strong relationships around Australia, and to ensure that KU is seen as an equitable broker of support funding for children with additional needs, Cathy gave of her time freely, travelling to all states and territories on a regular basis to ensure service providers understood the new administrative systems. Cathy’s expertise and professionalism resulted in a successful outcome. During the six years the NISSP program has been operating, Cathy has consistently shown strong and caring leadership and has been a strong support for the NISSP team, at times when heavy workloads and constantly changing processes have weighed heavily on the team. The aim of the NISSP program is to remove the barriers to accessing child care that may be experienced by children with a disability, CALD backgrounds, and Indigenous children. Through implementing change to internal processes and systems, Cathy was able to achieve better outcomes for children, by increasing effective application processing.
