KU Wentworthville Preschool
This nomination for the staff at KU Wentworthville
Preschool came from a parent, whose daughter started
at Westmead Primary School this year.
The parent took the time to nominate the centre staff as
not only did the parent praise the preschool environment,
the staff and the educational program, but she wanted
the staff and KU to know of the high esteem the centre
is held in and the positive comments received from her
daughter’s school. Her daughter’s kindergarten teacher
commented publically on:
• The quality and standard of teaching that is
happening at the preschool, as she has observed
and is evident in the children’s knowledge and
skills.
• In the nine kindergarten classes at the school,
the small number of children who attended KU
Wentworthville Preschool stand out in comparison
to the other children for their highly functioning
social/emotional skills, language and knowledge
skills and their ability to focus and learn.
This recognition, by one of the largest, highest
achieving primary schools in the state, acknowledging
KU Wentworthville Preschool for its quality of teaching,
reinforces quality teaching and practices are essential for
all children in the early childhood years.
