For the purposes of reporting under the requirements of the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991, KU Children’s Services
classifies all fundraising activities under four categories; raffles, functions, sale of items and interest.

Total Cost of Fundraising ($349,820) divided by Gross Income from Fundraising ($756,388) equals 46.25%.
Net Surplus from Fundraising ($406,568) divided by Gross Income from Fundraising ($756,388) equals 53.75%.
24. Subsequent Events
As at 20 March 2009, the available-for sale investments (disclosed at Note 9) have declined in fair value by $308,519
since year end. No purchase or sales have been made within the portfolio.
On 22 December 2008 KU Children’s Services was awarded the National Inclusion Support Contract with the
Federal Government for the next 3 years. This contract will result in an additional $54 million in KU’s Children’s
Services management of Programme income.
