make them more susceptive and prone to sexual violence with many fold increase in crime against women. they can also suggest ways to solve this problem instead of just mentioning the name of the relevant officer and blaming the department for not protecting women’s interest. Electronic media organize talk shows and discuss these issues but most of the time it turns out to be a futile exercise due to blame game. The biggest front at this moment is to fight the increasing trend of crime against women particularly rape, kidnapping, sexual harassment at work place and murder and also forcing the girls to do legal businesses. However most of the crimes are committed against women because they are weaker class of the society. Violence against women is violation of women’s human rights to safety and self determination. It keeps half the world’s population from contributing fully to their local and national economy. The nation cannot prosper when half of their people are not allowed to fulfill their potential as human beings and fully contribute to development. The need to tell the truth is no where keener than in the reporting of women’s conditions, experiences and interests the role of the media is to tell the truth, tell the people the truth without the masks and taints of personal or corporate prejudice and interest.
