What school are you going
to?
I attend Penn State University
through their World Campus. Penn
State's World Campus is a completely
online format. You are a regularly
admitted student and go through the
same admissions process as a student
attending Penn State's Campus in
University Park, PA…however, you
have the leisure of taking all of your
courses online, in whatever city
you happen to be in. It is a great
compromise for a dancer who has
an inconsistent schedule and may be
traveling and working odd hours.
What courses and classes
are you currently taking?
Do you have a major?
What degree(s) are you
going for?
I'm majoring in Political Science and
plan to attain a bachelor's degree. I've
always had an interest in the political
sphere. I like that politics permeates
our everyday life and shapes the way
that we live and interact. Currently
I am taking two political science
classes; Comparative Politics and
American Foreign Policy. I am
also taking three electives; geology,
astrology, and architecture. My
schedule qualifies me as a full-time
student, as it is equivalent to sixteen
credit hours.
How many hours a day/
week do you spend in
class/studying?
Study time honestly varies on my life
schedule. My work schedule comes
first. I make it a priority to have
teaching jobs, auditions, rehearsals,
and possible jobs scheduled for the
week first. Then, I go about making
a study schedule for my classes. On
Sundays I look up the required work
for the week in each of my classes. I
write out all of the readings, activities,
and tests I may have coming up

and then create a study to-do list. I
probably end up spending anywhere
between 30-40 hours studying each
week.
How many hours do you
spend dancing in an
average week?
Obviously, with my full time school
schedule I don't get to spend as
much time training in class as I
would like to. When I first moved
to Los Angeles, I spent a year on
scholarship at the EDGE PAC, where
I danced full-time…8 hours of
training every single day. Now I take
class when I can. I teach around 6
hours each week, and on weekends
I travel with Hollywood Vibe, a
dance convention featuring faculty
such as Kevin Maher, David Moore,
Allison Holker, and Liz Imperio. On
the weekends I get to train in every
single style of dance. So, although it
is my job to travel and assist, I also
reap the benefits of full time training
