TAKE ON AUSSIES
IN ASBK
Damon and Mitch Rees are tackling
the ASBK series in two classes.
This is how their seasons are going
so far after Round 5.
hakatane brothers Damon and
Mitch Rees are both riding for
the Carl Cox M-Sports supported
Team Rees Racing team in the 2018
Australian Superbike Championship
(ASBK). Damon, the 2017 New Zealand
Supersport 600 champion, is riding a
CBR600RR in ASBK Supersport class
and Mitch is fielding a CBR1000RR SP1
Fireblade in Superbikes. Both classes
are very competitive with a solid mix
of established performers and up and
coming youngsters; Troy Bayliss has
made a comeback this year and is
running strongly in Superbikes on the
Ducati Panigale.
Round 5 of the ASBK Championship
was held at the Morgan Park Raceway
just outside Warwick, a couple of hours
drive west of Brisbane.
