His attention to detail when commentating is amazing, he doesn’t just talk about the tricks being done on screen, he goes the extra mile to explain what the trick is, what is going to score well etc. Leading up to the live feed I really wanted to try and live up to at least 50% of Lewis’s professionalism behind the mic. I was nervous but had tried to prepare as best I could, the hard part is trying to fill the gaps between heats when there isn’t much going on, or as we found – a whole day of no wind! Once I had pushed the nerves aside I really did feel comfortable and felt that it is something that I would definitely love to do more of in the future. I know that I will never be good enough or be able to afford to compete on the international circuit, and to be honest I enjoy competing just for fun these days. But after the experience I had in France it’s nice to know that there is something else within kiting that I can turn my hand to. I had a lot of good feedback after the live feed, and I can’t wait to get another opportunity to do it again. The highlight for me was interviewing Aaron Hadlow and Kevin langaree.
