Mondial
DuVent
2015
Since I started to kite around 14 years
ago, I have always followed kite events
around the UK, Europe and the world.
It is my background and how I got into
the sport, going to all the events my dad
organised around Europe, and growing
up amongst the crowd of world class
riders of that era.
Aaron Hadlow, 2014 King of the Air, Kevin
Langaree and all-round big air legend
Nick Jacobson.
So when I was invited to attend the
Mondial Du Vent, Leucate in the South
of France I jumped at the opportunity! I
knew of the event quite well and it had
always been on my list of must go spots!
To add to the excitement the guys from
Kitepix were going to be running a live
feed and had asked me to commentate
on the action. This was such an amazing
opportunity!
Unfortunately this year the PKRA wasn’t
going to be held at the event, but there
was to be a big air event which had
attracted some of the industry’s biggest
names such as 5 times world champion
I very rarely miss a PKRA live feed, and
was gutted when Red Bull pulled the
live feed at the King of the Air. I grew
into the sport when Lewis Crathern was
competing on the British tour (and winning
I travelled down overnight with the team
from Kitepix, it was one hell of a journey
but after our first session at Etang De La
Palme, it was all so worth it!
