one more component takes so many of
those people out of the equation and lets
us explore the ocean from a different
vantage point. The gear has become so
reliable and safe with the ability to pack
small, fit in a surfboard bag and create
so much more opportunity to enjoy the
ocean.
There is so much to love about both
sports. They complement each other
very well, we can take so much pleasure
from both. “For me the best part of
surfing is when paddling into the wave,
making the drop really late so it puts
you inside the barrel, for me, there is no
better feeling when I surf. What I really
love about kitesurfing is that you don’t
stop to breathe, you never sit and wait,
you are in the moment at all times. You
can catch so many waves in one session,
even if you don’t have waves you can
play with the kite, try some tricks with the
surfboard, and just always be riding. For
me, there are so many great things about
both sports, I am happy that they are at
their best at opposite conditions so I can
do both!”
