The perfect remedy for English winter time
... or any time in fact
It really was an extraordinary trip.
I will begin at the end.
As we said goodbye, it felt peculiar
to be saying the usual pleasantries
of ‘it was nice to meet you’ to the
friends we had made. After sharing
our lives for a week; eating together,
kiting together, wind waiting and
beer drinking together, somehow,
‘get home safely’ didn’t quite cut it.
We had begun the day like many
others; awaking around half eight
(I’m convinced that the lack of
ambient light, good food, fresh
air and exercise, along with the
comfort of our log cabin led to
the best nights sleep I have had
in a long time). Stumbling into
the dining room to an assortment
of croissants, pastries, cereals,
salads (for our European friends)
fresh fruit and eggs, we were met
by the other guests. This included
the Polish friends we had made
who had been up for hours prior to
