weekend, and it seemed like many took the opportunity to stay all day as both facilities and a large range of food stall made for a comfortable setup. The big brands were there, flaunting their new kit and putting on a colourful display for people to look at and demo. The registration and riders briefing took place, informing all riders of the rules and setup of the board across. Fins came off, and the heats began. Heats were quick and you could sense how much all entrants wanted to win and be the first over the obstacles and past the post. Unable to finish all the rounds in one day, everyone headed to The Generator bar, for a cracking night out. It was a late one and we didn’t leave until we were asked to by the bouncers in the early hours. The next morning everyone was ready for another day like yesterday, unfortunately, the wind was not playing fair. After a couple of desperate attempts which just ended with riders lightly bumping into obstacles with no hope in getting over them, the day was called. Luckily everyone had a good shot the day before, so people weren’t too disappointed by the end to proceedings.
