weekend, and it seemed like many
took the opportunity to stay all day as
both facilities and a large range of food
stall made for a comfortable setup.
The big brands were there, flaunting
their new kit and putting on a colourful
display for people to look at and demo.
The registration and riders briefing took
place, informing all riders of the rules and
setup of the board across.
Fins came off, and the heats began.
Heats were quick and you could sense
how much all entrants wanted to win and
be the first over the obstacles and past
the post.
Unable to finish all the rounds in one day,
everyone headed to The Generator bar,
for a cracking night out. It was a late one
and we didn’t leave until we were asked
to by the bouncers in the early hours.
The next morning everyone was
ready for another day like yesterday,
unfortunately, the wind was not playing
fair. After a couple of desperate attempts
which just ended with riders lightly
bumping into obstacles with no hope in
getting over them, the day was called.
Luckily everyone had a good shot
the day before, so people weren’t too
disappointed by the end to proceedings.
