no friction, you get upwind without even
noticing it! And you can make some guys
really frustrated, looking at you amazed
and intrigued from the beach.
So yes, I love this totally new sensation that
looks like no other sport I knew so far.
The Foil simply allowed me to enlarge the
wind range in which I can go and have fun
in my favorite element: the water!
But I reserve foil session only for the light
wind.
Remember the foil is pretty deep in the
water, around one metre on most of
foils. That means at some spots, you
will have to walk until it’s deep enough
before going on the board.
As soon as the wind picks up enough for
freestyle, I’m really happy to take back my
gambler because there’s nothing better
than throwing big wake style tricks, and
feeling the water under my feet. Flying,
spinning, landing blind, full speed with the
kite low, passing the bar…
