The following year after Cape
Hatteras had been battered
by hurricanes, the original
party raft was nowhere to be
seen. With the 2012 Triple-S
approaching and such good
memories of the previous
year’s party raft, Ty Graves
and Rich Sabo took it upon
themselves to build the next
generation of the party raft
for the Triple-S. The two
held several safety meetings
whilst carefully planning out
the build. This insured the
rafts creativity, performance
and above all safety for
spectators. The team were
working with a tight budget
but wanted to build the party
raft bigger and better than
ever. They were able to use
some salvaged materials
from previous hurricanes
and some borrowed items
from Real and the local
fishermen.
Once
Best
kiteboarding caught wind
of what the plans were for
this new party raft, they
were intrigued and wanted
to be a part of it. With some
financial support from Best
Kiteboarding the party raft
was then dubbed The Best
Seat in the House. When
