When did you learn to kite?
When I was 10 years old.
Who have you been sponsored by
before F-One?
Royal Kiteboarding
A
n interview between
Tom Seager and his hero
Robinson Hilario.
What advice would you give to people
starting out in proper competitions?
If you are serious about competition then
you better give it your all! Remember
training on the water is only half the
battle. Keeping in shape and training
off the water to stay healthy is very
important- especially as you begin to go
bigger with your tricks you need to be
in top physical health so your body can
handle the impact and landings.
Where is your favourite place to kite?
A local home spot, La Boca, Cabarete
Is your home spot good?
We have sun, waves and wind year
round so no complaints! During winter
time you are either surfing or riding
bigger kites 17,14,11 but during summer
you have wind almost all day from sunrise till sun-set riding sizes 11,9,7.
What do you do before your heat starts?
Before a heat I try to not do anything or
think of anything. I try to keep my mind
clear so I can be focused and ready to
give it my all for the heat.
When did you start competing?
I started in 2010 but I got more serious
last year.
What was the first competition you did?
Local Competition Master of the Ocean.
What do you think of the new PKRA
format?
I have yet to compete in it but I find the
freestyle will be judged more precisely

appeal as its only one rider doing one
trick at a time. Despite the visual appeal
going down in freestyle we have big
air which will definitely become an
attraction.
Are you just going to do freestyle? Or
