hospitality kiosks
a great way of providing this information
to the guests without them having to
trouble a member of hotel staff. Most
kiosks are also fitted with printers so the
information can either be printed out or
more commonly emailed to the guest.
Airline check in/boarding
pass printing
With online check in becoming more
and more popular there are very few
flyers that opt not to use it. The only
obstruction that might be faced when
using this new process is lack of internet
connection and printing facilities. Hotels
have realised that this is one problem
guests are facing when it comes to the
end of their stay, and so in order to
deliver great customer service they're
providing self-service kiosks that allow
guests to not only check in to their
flight online, but also print out that all
important boarding pass.

Loyalty programme for
sign-up/account access
Various hotels, mainly large chains,
offer loyalty schemes and memberships
to regular guests as a way of showing
their appreciation for their custom.
And also to give them a good reason
to keep coming back! Guests receive
extra benefits such as a free bedroom
upgrade or a later check out – things
that mean a lot to the guest but are just
a small cost for the hotel. A self-service
kiosk will usually be available in the
hotel lobby so guests can sign up to the
loyalty scheme or login to their existing
account to see if they have any points to
spend or bonuses to use.
Internet information/
access
Even though a lot of hotels offer free
Wi-Fi, it's still common for hotels to
provide public computer areas with
internet access for the guests to use
at their leisure. This could be used for
a variety of things such as checking
the weather forecast, emailing family
