SIX Enables Cashless Music Festival at Eurosonic Noorderslag 2018
Eurosonic Noorderslag ( ESNS ) is one of Europe ’ s key showcase events where fans and music industry figures exchange and network . First established in 1986 , this festival has a proven track record for helping new acts break into the international music scene and this year , the festival brought together more than 40,000 visitors , 4,000 conference delegates and 400 international festivals from 30 countries in Groningen , the Netherlands from 17-20 January .
For the second consecutive year , SIX provided the latest payment solution to enable a complete cashless Eurosonic Noorderslag , allowing attendees to pay for food , refreshments and merchandise with wristbands or chip enabled cards that are linked to each individual ticket . The wristband can be preloaded either online before or during the festival at one of the top-up stations by means of debit or credit card . After the festival , the remaining credit can be easily refunded to the bank account without any additional charge , either on-site or after the festival .
For this special four-day music festival , 70 Point of Sales ( POS ) terminals including top-up stations were installed , configured and serviced by SIX and located across the whole festival area throughout Groningen including all bars , restaurants , concert areas , even a church where performances were held . With the expertise and experience from SIX , transactions were made seamless irrespective of where the customers are .
In addition to providing terminal infrastructure , SIX also provided the technology for preloading the wristbands by accepting not only the most common international debit and credit cards but also the most popular online payment system in the Netherlands , iDEAL . SIX worked in collaboration with YouChip as the solution provider for access control and cashless payment to enable and facilitate the entire payment system for the festival . n tvONE announces multi-format modular AV matrix routers with 4K
tvONE has introduced a range of new features and modules for the C3340 CORIO matrix ( 4RU ) and C3-310 CORIO matrix mini ( 1RU ). This latest CORIOmatrix release is designed for installs needing to easily integrate mixed AV sources such as SDI , IP streams ( coming soon ), 4K HDMI and legacy formats in a single device at very low latency . Additionally , the new MX-6588 4K60 HDR 8x8 HDMI Matrix will be revealed ; a 1RU matrix router that supports 4K60 4:4:4 and HDR along with 7.1 digital audio . tvONE ’ s proven CORIO technology allows the user to upscale , down-scale and cross convert between a wide variety of analog and digital video formats . The sixteen modular AV slots ( 4RU chassis C3-340 ) provide the ability to mix and match video formats in the switcher . The quantity and type of modules selected determines which formats will be accommodated and the matrix size ( 12 + input / output module types to choose from ). CORIOmatrix supports any standard or custom resolution from 640 x 480 to 3840 x 2160 to allow you to integrate any source and any display including projectors and LED walls for ultimate flexibility .

Control and configuration of the CORIOmatrix can be done via API via RS-232 , an IP interface or through an internal web interface . An optional and unique monitoring module that creates thumbnail composition previewing of all your inputs and outputs ( including embedded audio channels ) is an additional feature of CORIOmatrix . This module is configurable and has 2 DVI / HDMI outputs which can show different information / layouts relevant to your application . n
